フランス出展での言葉や文化の壁に不安を感じ、七夕の空を見上げ、星に出展の無事を願いました。

フランスに続く星空には国境もなく、同じ地球人だと思うと安心できて、初の海外出展に向かうことができました。

Anxious about the language and cultural barriers before exhibiting in France, I looked up at the Tanabata sky and wished to the stars for a safe and successful exhibition. The starry sky leading to France had no borders, and I felt at ease as I realized how we were all on the same planet, which gave me the strength to prepare for my first overseas exhibition.

天神祭りのお囃子に刻まれるリズムやお腹にズンとくる響きは、人の中にある原始的な部分を刺激し気持ちを高ぶらせます。

「日常」と祭の日の「非日常」を区別する生活の変化を意識し、楽しむことで、生活にメリハリが生まれています。

The rhythm engraved into the festival music of Tenjin Matsuri and the echoes that throb in one’s stomach stimulate the primal part in all of us and excites us. By being aware of and enjoying the changes in our lives that distinguish the “ordinary” days from the “extraordinary” festival days, a sense of variety will emerge in our lives.

母が突然亡くなり、人生の短さを痛感しました。

お墓に咲く彼岸花を見るたびに、アートの世界を教えてくれた母から、悔いの無い様にやりたいことに挑戦して人生を楽しみなさいと、作家活動を応援されているように感じています。

When my mother passed away suddenly, I came to a painful realization of how short life is.　Whenever I see a red spider lily blooming on her grave, I feel as if my mother, who taught me the world of art, is cheering me on in my creative endeavors, telling me to enjoy life by challenging myself to do what I want to do without regrets.

お米は、愛情をかけて多くの人の手と工程を経て育てられ、実を結びます。

我が子も家庭・学校・地域など様々な人との繋がりの中で学び、見守られて成長できたお陰で、自立し、自分の想いや理想を一つずつ叶えられています。

Rice is grown to fruition with love through the hands and processes of many people. Thanks to the fact that my child was able to learn and grow up under the watchful eyes of various connections at home, at school, and in the community, she is now independent and fulfilling her own wishes and ideals one by one.

作品構想の過程で、生みの苦しみに悩んでいた時、見上げた空に昴を見つけました。

昴には纏まって一つになるという意味があるように、好きで創作を続けられていることも悩んで自信を無くすこともひっくるめて私なのだと思い至り、素直に創作に向き合うことができました。

When I was struggling with the pain of birth in the process of conceiving these works, I looked up and found the Pleiades in the sky. As the meaning of Pleiades is to unite and become one, I realized being able to continue creating due to passion and losing confidence because my worries are all part of me, which allowed me to approach creation truthfully.

初めて作品展を見に来てくれた友人に、作品にかける私の想いを熱く語りました。その後、彼女は初めて小説を応募し、夢へと第一歩を踏み出しました。

さながら街を照らすイルミネーションのように、私の作品や活動が人の心に火を灯し、行動を促せたことに幸福を感じました。

I passionately told my friend, who came to see my exhibition for the first time, about my passion for my art. After that, she took the first step toward her dream by submitting her first novel. Just like the winter lights that brighten up the city, I felt happy that my art and efforts were able to kindle a fire in her heart and inspire her to action. 

梅花は極寒の中、暖かさを感じることで美しい花を咲かせ、春の訪れを知らせます。

先が見えない中、耐え忍びながら創作する時間を捻出し、上野の森美術館での出展の機会を得ることができました。その出逢いと経験の全てが寶です。

Amid extreme cold, plum blossoms bloom beautifully when they feel warmth, signaling the arrival of spring. With an uncertain future ahead, I managed to time to endure and create and, receive opportunity to exhibit at the Ueno Royal Museum. All of these encounters and experiences are a treasure to me.

コロナ禍で、娘の卒業式が開催されず、人生の節目に、桜の舞う中で友人たちと別れの言葉を交わすことさえできませんでした。

桜の咲く時期が短く稀少な様に、二度と会えないかもしれない、目の前の人との出会いの機会に誠意を尽くそうと心に刻みました。

Due to the pandemic, my daughter’s graduation ceremony was not held, and she could not even exchange parting words with her friends amidst the scattering cherry blossoms at this milestone in life. Just as the cherry blossom season is short and rare, I have taken it to heart to offer my sincerity to opportunities for meeting those before me whom I may never see again.
